Brew Your Perfect Cup of Renly's Roast Beans

How to Brew Renly’s Roast Coffee

Welcome! Whether you're brewing Renly's Morning Walk or The Zoomies, using a French press, pourover, drip brewer, espresso machine, or aeropress, we've got you covered! Read below for details on how to brew your best cup of Renly's Roast coffee!

☕️ General Brew Basics

For all brew methods, using a scale is the easiest way to get consistent, delicious cups.

  • Standard filter coffee ratio: 1:16 (coffee : water by weight)
  • Espresso starting point: 1:2 (coffee in : espresso out)

Don’t have a scale yet? No stress — brew to taste and adjust as you go.

The Zoomies: Brew Guide

The Zoomies ready for espresso       Beans ground into a portafilter for an espresso machine

Roast style: Espresso-focused but also delicious as a filter
Best for: Espresso machines, French press, moka pot, Aeropress
Brew ratio: 18 g coffee in → 36 g espresso out

⚡️ Espresso Instructions

Start with a classic espresso ratio:

18 g coffee in → 36 g espresso out
Pull time: 25–30 seconds

  • Tastes sour? Grind finer
  • Tastes bitter or hollow? Grind coarser

Pourover / Drip Instructions

Use the same filter ratio as Renly's Morning Walk (1:16 (coffee : water))

Examples:

  • 12 oz cup: 20 g coffee → 320 g water
  • 16 oz mug: 25 g coffee → 400 g water
  • Full drip maker (~40 oz): 60 g coffee → 960 g water

This brings out the chocolatey sweetness and lively pop that makes The Zoomies so flexible.
